She Was Supposed to Hate the Alien Warlord… Until Fate Chose Him for Her

She Was Supposed to Hate the Alien Warlord… Until Fate Chose Him for Her

What would you do if the alien commander responsible for conquering your world told you that you were the real reason Earth was attacked?

Would you believe him?

Or would you hate him even more?

For Mara Vale, there is no easy answer.

After surviving eight months of alien occupation, Mara has every reason to despise the Veyrans. She has watched her home destroyed, buried people she cared about, and learned how to survive by staying one step ahead of the patrols hunting her.

Then Kael Draven finds her.

He is a Veyran warlord feared throughout the galaxy—a commander whose reputation is powerful enough to make planets surrender before his fleet even arrives.

And somehow, he is drawn to her.

Not because of her position.

Not because of her wealth.

Not because she is important to Earth's resistance.

Because something ancient has awakened between them.

A Human Woman. An Alien Warlord. One Impossible Bond.

Claimed by the Alien Warlord by Elowen Marrowe is a fated-mates sci-fi romance filled with danger, secrets, political intrigue, forbidden attraction, and a bond neither Mara nor Kael can simply walk away from.

Kael has spent most of his life believing that love is a weakness.

He learned that lesson when he was young, after tragedy taught him exactly how dangerous it could be to care about someone. He eventually became the kind of warlord whose name alone could bring fear across entire planets.

He built walls around himself.

He stopped allowing himself to want things.

And most importantly, he never intended to fall in love.

Then he arrives on a ruined Earth.

And he feels something ignite inside him.

Something he cannot explain.

Something aimed at a woman he hasn't even met yet.

Mara Doesn't Want Him

Mara has no reason to trust Kael.

From her perspective, he is part of the alien force that destroyed her world.

When Kael comes to her cell, she confronts him with the devastation she witnessed in Chicago.

But Kael reveals something that changes everything.

He didn't order the invasion.

The attack on Earth wasn't authorized by the legitimate Veyran command structure.

Someone else gave the order.

And according to Kael, Mara wasn't simply an innocent survivor caught in an alien war.

She may have been the target all along.

Suddenly, the question isn't simply whether Mara can escape the alien warlord.

The question is:

Who wanted her dead badly enough to destroy an entire planet?

Then They Discover the Drava Bond

The biggest secret between Mara and Kael is something neither of them expected.

Mara carries an ancient marker in her blood.

A marker connected to the Veyran royal bloodline.

According to Nyra, Mara's ancestors carried royal Veyran blood generations ago, and that dormant heritage has remained hidden in her family line for centuries.

Now that Mara and Kael have come into contact, something called the drava bond has awakened.

It isn't simply attraction.

It isn't an ordinary romance.

It is an ancient biological connection between their bloodlines.

And neither of them gets to decide whether the bond exists.

They only get to decide what they do with it.

Mara can still choose whether she trusts Kael.

She can choose whether she loves him.

She can even choose to hate him.

But the bond itself?

It has already begun.

But Fate Isn't Their Only Problem

While Mara and Kael struggle to understand their connection, a much larger conspiracy is unfolding.

Someone inside the Veyran power structure has been manipulating events from the shadows.

Mara's ability to decode transmissions becomes increasingly important, eventually revealing that the threat reaches all the way to the highest levels of the ruling Council.

That means Mara isn't merely caught between humanity and an alien empire.

She is caught in the middle of a conspiracy that could threaten the entire Veyran Empire.

And Kael has a choice to make.

Protect his empire…

or protect the woman fate has chosen for him.
